Eduardo Porretti contracted coronavirus, as confirmed by the Argentine Foreign Ministry. The diplomatic official, who constantly maintains meetings due to his tasks, decided to carry out a swab on his own, despite the fact that he did not have the symptoms that characterize the virus that was born in China and spread rapidly throughout the world. After samples were taken from his throat and the mucosa of his nose, the doctors diagnosed the disease. Porretti is isolated in his home in Caracas, complying with the doctors' recommendations. Meanwhile, the Embassy is closed as a result of quarantine measures on public offices issued by the local government.
